Zahira Suraya Electra: (aka Lexy) Lexy is a Reg. 2005 Half Arab. She's a beautiful chestnut filly with flaxen mane and tail and 2 white stockings in front and 2 white socks in hind! She's got a wonderful personality and is very smart. She leads and ties well. Lexy is showing amazing potential and learning to yield to pressure from all quarters, doing wonderful lateral work and has been started! She's still too small to work with so she's now waiting to grow to continue her training. I will update you with her progress as it happens.

Our Rescues
Don Quixote: (aka Rocky Road) Rocky was found at a auction after 6 years of guarding a herd of sheep on 200 acres as a stallion, guard donkey. He was purchased by Brighter Days horse rescue and taken home to their center. He then fell into a sink hole where he spent the night in the arms of his human caregiver, waiting for rescue. They managed to free him from the pit but he had contracted pneumonia from shock and the night in the cold, damp pit. He is now fully recovered, gelded and is a loyal companion to Lyndales Starfire as well as a irreplaceble member of our herd.
Trailmaster's King: (aka Midnight) Midnight is a 1989 black Tennessee Walking Horse. He was brought here in Dec of 2006. He was on his way to the auction when a special woman made it her mission to find him a home to spare him from a not-so-happy ending. He has twisted front legs and a breathing condition but is strong, healthy and happy. His legs do not slow him down and his breathing does not cause him discomfort. He was adopted this spring by Carol and Mike and is thrilled to have two people to love him and care for him! He will be staying here and working as a school horse as well being as their companion.
Chief: Chief is an unreg. AQHA/APHA 1993 16 hh gelding. He was surrendered by his loving family after 2 years of unsoundness. It was believed that he would not recover. After having two separate vets look at him and both say the same thing - he's overweight and arthritic - Chief went on a diet and began a physio and light exercise routine and is now 100% sound! His is now working as a school horse and available for lease!

Sierra: Sierra arrived with Rocky and was also from Brighter Days Horse Rescue. She is an 8 year old Arabian mare. She was very shy and jumpy when she arrived. She's no longer shy or nervous of people, and is now a part of our lesson program! She is also available for lease.

Bella: Bella arrived Jan 3rd 2008 from a loving home who could not keep her. She is healthy and sound but was in need of a new home. On June 1, 2008 she was adopted by Skye and her mom Tina! Thanks for giving Bella a wonderful home! She will continue to live with us here at Silver Star Stables but will get the one-on-one pampering she deserves.
Ginger: Ginger has been with us since 2005. She is a 2002 unreg. Arabian/Appaloosa mare. She stands 15.2 hh and came from Rocky Mountain Horse Rescue. She has been in training and is now doing well at walk and trot, in and outside the arena, as well as gaining confidence at the lope. She will become a member of the school horse team when she is ready but has already found her forever home here with us.
For Lease: Horses listed below are available for partial lease to individuals who have passed a minimum of CHA Level 1 ring and written test with Silver Star Stables. They do not have to be a Silver Star Stables student to take the test.
Raven: is a beautiful black and white pinto wormblood mare. She is around 5 years old and between 15.3h and 16h. Raven has had minimal training but is quiet, safe, solid and fun to ride. She is currently in training and is suitable for an intermediate to advanced rider who is interested in learning how to help maintain her training. She is available for a partial lease.
